Thanks Steph for putting up them videos! You need look no further than to that awesome Conan O'Brien performance to realise how terrific is the Gigolo Aunts vibe - even at 103k bits/sec, that energy, sincerity and enthusiasm jumps out of the screen at you. Time to celebrate a whole decade of luvin' the Aunts - here's to the next!

Well, you guys still rock - and I'm still listening.
It's been a long time since my days at BU and it says something for your band that I'm still listening. (And it says something about me that I'm still in Boston!) |

Subject: The new CD is GREAT |
|
Hey guys.
Dave, not sure if you remember me or not, my name's Tim Crist...our parents were friends so I used to hang out at your house in Potsdam from time to time, and your sister used to babysit me back when I was an annoying little brat. Anyhoo, I've been listening to you guys since your major label thingy and I've been buying your stuff ever since. I've only gotten to see you once (in Northampton, opening for Letters To Cleo.) Just wanted to drop a note and tell you the new CD is GREAT. You guys have become tight as hell, and your sound is both rockin' and ncredibly beautiful. Reminds me a lot of the Beach Boys' better stuff. "Learn To Play Guitar" remains my favorite album, Enough rambling - hope all is well. Good luck with the new album. Hope to see you guys again one of these days. -=ShoEboX=- |

Hello guys!!
I discovered the band at Benicassim Festival, Spain in 1999. We just were taking a rest the first night of the festival when an unknown band for us started playing something that was familiar to us: "La chica de ayer". After that we hardly could say a word... it was fantastic!!!. That is the story of how I discovered one of the best bands of the last decade. Three years later, I had the chance to see them again. It was in May 02 in Oviedo, north of Spain, again impressive. Eigth months later I am living in Boston, where the Aunts were living until last year. I missed the concert they perform here on December 31 because I was back in Spain for vacation. I hope you will be performing again in Boston soon!!! Thank you for the good moments I have enjoyed listening to your songs. |
