The Gigolo Aunts return with a CD that might just be the best of 1999, and one of the best of the 90s. Big Aunts fan Adam Duritz put them on his new record label E Pluribus Unum, showing just how much taste and class Mr. Counting Crow has. This twelve-cut masterpiece (recorded almos two years ago, but never released due to contractual problems) starts out rocking with the uptempo C'mon C'mon" followed by the excellent (and current single) Everyone Can Fly. Other standouts include the rocking Super Ultra Wicked Mega Love (a concert favorite), and the first single, the incredible The Big Lie with backing vocals from Fountains of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger and the aforementioned Duritz.
Not a clunker on the disc, and it's even getting a little airplay here and there. If you see them coming to your town (they sometimes open for Counting Crows) don't hesitate - go there. Plus, say hello to the band after the show - they are four of the nicest, coolest guys in the business.
